ABOUT CORNERSTONE COLLECTIVE RECORDS

Cornerstone Collective Records is part of the Cornerstone Collective Entertainment Group, which includes Cornerstone Collective Productions and Cornerstone Collective Publishing. The group was started in November 2007 by a group of Victoria-BC based professional independent musicians who wanted to 'band' together to build a business that would provide all of the business, artist development and marketing support that a record label would provide. Independent artists run their own small businesses and many of the tasks are the same as what other independent artists are doing. To streamline many of these tasks and provide a more powerful voice through a collective entity, the Cornerstone Collective and Cornerstone Collective Records was born.

Associated with Fernwood NRG and the Cornerstone Cafe where all of the artists have performed and been supported, the label focuses on values-based business growth, contribution and commitment. The label integrates the needs of all artists involved into a plan that all members help make happen. Not merely a networking or volunteer network, the label has a strong focus on achievement for itself and each of its artists. The focus is on what personal success means to each artist, challenging each artist to fulfill their creative and career potential.

The label is currently based in Victoria, BC - but has contacts and networks across Canada who support its success and that of its artists. The label works on artist development, business and marketing systems for each artist, tour support and fundraising, contact sharing and creative inspiration and support. The Cornerstone Collective welcomes new artists and supporters who share the same values and who are committed and can contribute to their own success, the success of other independent artists and the success of the label.
